Privacy policy

At Floss & Mischief, we’re committed to maintaining the privacy, trust and confidence of our visitors and customers. This policy explains what happens to any personal data that you provide to us, or that we collect from you while you visit our site and how we use cookies on this website. We do update this policy from time to time so please do review this notice regularly.

In running and maintaining our business, we may collect and process the following data about you:

Website cookies

A cookie is a small text file which asks permission to be placed on your computer’s hard drive. Once added, the cookie helps analyse web traffic or lets you know when you visit a particular site. Cookies allow web applications to respond to you as an individual. The web application can tailor its operations to your needs, by gathering and remembering information about your preferences.

We use cookies to offer social media services and applications that allow users to share content on the Internet more easily. We also use cookies to recognise repeat users and identify which pages are being used. This helps us analyse data about web page traffic and improve our website in order to tailor it to customer needs. We may compile aggregated data, but these statistics will include no information personally identifying you. We only use this information for statistical analysis purposes.

Some of our cookies are strictly necessary as they allow the Website to perform key functions, such as keeping track of what you write on our online forms or adding products to the online shopping cart. These cookies are essential to perform the action a user has requested, and your use of the website signifies your consent for us to implement these necessary cookies. The website (in common with most other shopping websites) will not work without these cookies.

Most web browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can usually modify your browser setting to decline cookies if you prefer. This can be done within the ‘settings’ section of your computer. For more information please read the advice at

Google Analytics

When someone visits we use a third party service, Google Analytics, to collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns. We do this to find out things such as the number of visitors to the various parts of the site. This information is only processed in a way which does not identify anyone. We do not make, and do not allow Google to make, any attempt to find out the identities of those visiting our website.

Purchase and checkout information

When you purchase a product(s) through, your name, address data, email, contact number (if applicable) and order data will be stored in our e-commerce system, Big Cartel. If you purchase digital items from us, your data will also be shared with our digital delivery service, Pulley App. We need to know your personal data so that we can provide you with the purchase/product(s)/return/refund you have requested.

All payments are securely processed through Stripe or Paypal, whether you pay for your order with a Stripe or Paypal account, a credit or debit card. This means Floss & Mischief does not see or store your card payment information.

If we ask for your personal information for a secondary reason, like marketing, we will ask you directly for your expressed consent.

Mailing list

When you register to receive our marketing emails, we collect personal information. We use that information to tell you about our future offers, events and similar products, and to inform you of any changes to our business, website, services or goods and products. We don't rent or trade email lists with other organisations and businesses.

We use a third-party provider, Mailchimp, to deliver our marketing emails. We gather statistics around email opening and clicks using industry standard technologies to help us monitor and improve our emails. For more information, please see Mailchimp’s privacy notice. You can unsubscribe to general mailings at any time of the day or night by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any of our emails or by emailing our data protection officer at

Other third parties

Many of the workshops and events we host are presented in partnership with other companies such as with the venue or other promoters. We will let them know about your booking and share your name and contact details with them in order to manage ticket sales and event logistics. We will not share sensitive information or your payment details.

We may disclose your personal information if we are required by law to do so or if you violate our terms of service.

To protect your personal information, we take reasonable precautions and follow industry best practices to make sure it is not inappropriately lost, misused, accessed, disclosed, altered or destroyed.

You are entitled to view, amend, or delete the personal information that we hold. Email your request to our data protection officer at
